Sycamore Hill Farms Original Recipe
Italian Baked Garlic Linguini
You Will Need:
28 ounce Diced Tomatoes
15 ounce Tomato Sauce
6 ounce Linguini
4 cloves Fresh Garlic - Peeled, Smashed and chopped
1/2 medium Onion -cut in thin wedge slices
6 each Scallion Onions - Tops trimmed and onion cut in 3 pieces
1 cup Mozzarella Cheese
3 TBSP Grated Parmesan Cheese
2 TBSP Olive Oil
2 TBSP Butter
1 tsp Southern Seasoning
1 tsp Dill Weed
1/4 tsp Oregano Leaves
1/4 tsp Thyme Leaves
Salt - to taste
To Cook:
Boil 6 ounces of Linguini until tender, drain and set aside. In a sauce pan over medium heat,
cook onions, scallions and garlic until half done. Add oregano, Thyme, Southern Seasoning
and Dill along with the tomatoes and tomato sauce. Salt to taste a heat at a heavy simmer
for about 5 minutes or with juice thickens slightly.
Place pre-cooked pasta in a baking dish large enough to be half full. Stir in the butter to keep
the pasta from sticking to the dish. Add a layer of Mozzarella Cheese, then a layer of the
tomato sauce mixture, adding a second layer of Mozzarella Cheese on top. Sprinkle grated
parmesan cheese on top and place in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.
This is a light meal time dish that is sure to please.
